Jill Baldock

Jill is an adjudicator for The British & International Federation of Festivals, the All England Dance and Dance World Cup.

Her initial training was at the Bromley School on Merseyside, where she gained several scholarships from the International Dance Teachers Association. She went on to train at The Royal Academy and The Place (London's Contemporary School of Dance).

Jill worked as a professional dancer/performer for many years in TV, Film, Cabaret and the West End. Shows include "Kiss Me Kate", "Carousel", "The King and I", "Oklahoma", "Fiddler on the Roof" and many more.

Jill went on to become an international choreographer, director and producer of theatre and cabaret shows. Producing pantos, cruise shows, children’s plays, summer seasons, even Shakespeare! At the same time developing her own theatrical agency.

Her love of teaching took her back to the studio and worked for the Italia Conti School and the Arts Council, whilst running her own performing arts school.

She then diverted her career into the music business, producing for EMI, Virgin, Carlton and recorded many artistes - Shirley Bassey, Howard Keel, Petula Clarke, the London Philharmonic and many more. She had the honour of producing the official recording for the Queen Mother’s 100th birthday. During that time her music publishing company and was awarded the coveted Ivor Novello Award.

Jill now mentors students from the Royal Academy of Music, also actors from various backgrounds, with movement coaching and theatrical expression.
