Please would you note the following:
- The closing date for entries (accompanied by the appropriate payment) is 31st October 2008.
- We have not increased our entry fees which remain at the 2008 rate.
- The Festival cannot guarantee places for late entries - these may be awarded on a first come first served basis, dependant on spaces available.
- Postcodes and dates of birth for individual competitors are required on the entry forms.
- Teachers are requested to draw parents' attention to the Festival's Child Protection Policy which the individual entrants will receive inside their timetable cards. The children's safety is our primary concern and we take this very seriously.
- We have revisited the eligibility rules of our Senior Bursary Award to enable youngsters who have been loyal to the Festival over the years, even if they are not 'local', to enter. We recommend that you review the eligibility rules which are on Page 2 of the syllabus and that teachers raise awareness amongst their current/former pupils who have a place at a stage/theatre school.
- We are very pleased to welcome our adjudicator this year - Chris Hocking.
